The dawn of a green industrial revolution
We are dedicated to speeding up the decarbonization of the steel industry (responsible for approximately 8% of the global CO₂ emissions), with the support of our shareholders, who are leaders in the value chain.
How do we achieve this? By producing low CO₂ direct reduced iron (DRI / HBI) using on-site production of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen.
Paving the way for clean reindustrialization
We plan to build and operate our first decarbonized iron plant in Fos-sur-Mer, in the south of France. This initiative represents a total investment of 2.2 billion euros and is expected to create 500 direct jobs.
Our ambitious goal is to reduce CO₂ emissions in the production of iron, which currently accounts for about 80% of CO₂ emissions related to steel production.
